Application Engineer Project

Your challenge:

Working closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation and the Project team, the Application Engineer – Project will be responsible for providing technical support on Bids and Proposal activities, generating bid responses, and estimating work package for the Business Development from the origination phase to contract negotiation and hand over to Project team.

Proposal Preparation & Negotiation:

• Preparing design packages for HVAC Systems and specialized equipment. Including: preliminary heat load calculations, preliminary equipment and main component selections and development of a design dimensional concept for equipment.
• Preparing Terms & Conditions of proposal response and participating in the preparation of specifications, bid packages, evaluation of tenders.
• Review labour estimates, schedules, execution plans, inspection and test plans and project oversight plans. Gather input from stakeholders to ensure project requirements are captured and detailed in the project documents.
• Define design methods and approach to be used.
• Organize documentation, including quotes, correspondence, requisitions, drawings, etc.
• Prepare and/or review engineering documentation as required.
• Support the Bid team in contract reviews and contract closure.

Business Development:

• Contribute to the development of Sales Tools
• Report trends, bid status, etc. to team during weekly updates.

What sets you apart?

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or certified system maintainer/operator.
• 4-7 years of experience in ship design or experience
• Excellent organizational skills and capacity to juggle multiple tasks and resources.
• No criminal record and must be able to meet security clearance requirements.
